[message]Husqvarna - TC 85 17/14 | 2025
The 2025 TC 85 is an all-new, new generation of minicycle that bridges the gap between the TC 65 and the full-size line-up of motocross machines available from Husqvarna Motorcycles. An improved 85 cc 2-stroke engine, housed inside a brand-new chromium molybdenum steel frame, delivers exceptional power and torque. Adjustable WP suspension, together with a new single-piece swingarm, offers exceptional agility and confidence-inspiring control. Refined, ergonomic bodywork is finished with striking new graphics to create a bold, fresh look for 2025.
01. Performance
Engine
The TC 85 engine uses the latest in 2-stroke technology to deliver unrivalled performance in the competitive 85cc class. With an unchanged bore and stroke, the engine is1.5 pounds lighter and delivers improved power and ride-ability along the complete RPM range.
Cylinder
The cylinder is designed around an innovative power valve system, the system controls both the exhaust valve and the sub-exhaust port for impressive power, torque and controllability. As a result, the TC 85 delivers significant mid-range performance, reducing the need to use the clutch in loamy or sandy conditions.
Crankcase
Manufactured using a high pressure die-cast production process, the crankcases are designed with thinner wall thickness to save weight, while retaining strength and durability. This design also aids in a more compact arrangement, positioning the shaft arrangements closer to the center of gravity for improved handling.
Clutch
The reliable, lightweight hydraulic system from Miba ensures consistent play, even in the toughest of conditions, and offers a near maintenance-free operation. The clutch itself is housed inside a strong steel clutch basket for consistent action and assured durability.
02. Chassis
Frame
Crafted to provide precise feedback to young riders, the chromium molybdenum steel frame is made using advanced robot welding and hydroformed tubes.
WP XACT front fork
Much like the forks on the larger MX range, the WP XACT forks consist of a 43 mm split fork design using a capsulated air spring in the left leg and the trusted oil damping system in the right leg. These components offer remarkable suspension performance with 280 mm wheel travel.
WP XACT PDS mono shock
The WP XACT PDS shock absorber is fitted to the TC 85. PDS, "progressive damping system," allows the rear end to stay stable over smaller bumps or rough terrain while also soaking up bigger hits with ease.
Subframe
The proven subframe design is a one-piece component made from polyamide glass fibre-reinforced aluminium. This cutting-edge hybrid construction reduces considerable weight with specific rigidity engineered into it for outstanding control and feedback.
Foot Rests
The all-new foot rests are larger than the previous generation to enhance grip while the overall design prevents mud from building up for assured control at all times. An improved mounting concept ensures the foot rests are less susceptible to catching on the side of deep ruts, to help the TC 85 maintain forward momentum.
03. Components
Bodywork
Inspired by the Swedish heritage of the Husqvarna brand, the striking white, grey, and yellow graphics are applied using in-mould technology for increased durability and a quality finish. The TC 85 features bodywork scaled to precisely fit the proportions of an 85 rider. The contact points and feeling deliver exceptional ergonomics, instilling confidence while also leaving room for free and unrestricted movement.
Brakes
Brake calipers from Formula, a 240 mm wave disc up front and 220 mm wave disc at the rear provide improved brake feel and consistent brake pad wear to ensure confident braking in any riding condition. Additionally, our clutch and brake assembly reduces wear and ensures maximum reliability and durability. Black EXCEL rims and CNC-machined hubs are fitted with MAXXIS MAXXCROSS MX-ST tires that deliver outstanding performance on a wide variety of terrain.
Wheels
Black Excel rims (17 inch in the front and 14 inch in the rear) are laced to CNC-machined hubs using strong spokes to create a lightweight and robust wheelset. The wheels are equipped with Maxxis Maxxcross MX-ST tyres that are manufactured with a compound designed for exceptional straight-line stability, traction, and predictability across a wide range of terrain.
ODI lock-on grips
The TC 85 is fitted with high quality ODI lock on grips as standard. The system includes a vulcanized grip on the throttle grip while the lock-on grip on the left does not require any glue or wire to secure it to the handlebar.
Graphics
Drawing inspiration from the Swedish heritage of Husqvarna Motorcycles, eye-catching white and yellow graphics are applied with in-mold technology for durability and a high-quality finish.
Handlebars & grips
The tapered, black anodised Neken handlebars feature a new, modern bend for 2025 and are made from high-quality aluminium alloy for exceptional vibration dampening and stability. Black, ODI grips are then securely installed. The left grip is locked in place using a small clamp while the throttle grip is vulcanised onto the throttle tube for a secure fitment. To protect the rider in the event of a heavy landing, the handlebar mounts are covered with a bar pad to cushion any impact.
04. Technology
Airbox
The Twin Air filter can be easily accessed without tools, by simply removing the left side panel for quick maintenance. The airbox design allows optimum airflow and maximum filter protection.
Cooling
The TC 85 features radiators designed with computational fluid dynamics to ensure the ideal passage of air through the cooling fins for optimum engine temperature and the highest performance.
Swingarm
The swingarm is manufactured from a single piece of aluminum using a gravity die-cast production process. This gives the swingarm exceptional strength while keeping the weight to a minimum. Chain adjustment markings are also visible from above to make for quicker, simpler adjustment.
